Life in Geneva

Welcome to Geneva! Probably the first thing you should realize is that you are NOT in America anymore. Most shops and government offices are closed at lunchtime (12-14:00) and after 6 p.m. Restaurants are often closed for a month or more during certain months (July/August) for holidays. Overall, the attitude is not very service-oriented, but give it time - you'll adapt. Here are a few links that might be helpful.
