Physics Topologies: Diphotons
Welcome to the LPC Photon+X Signature group!
The main goal of this group is to provide a discussion forum for sharing the ideas and tools that are necessary to perform analyses with photons at CMS. We are also hoping to provide a loose framework for collaboration between institutions. Last but not least, we aim to help people new to the CMS analysis framework.
For most analyses, one needs to operate across the CMS group lines, so our activities span a number of different POGs and PAGs and DPGs. We are not a replacement of the LPC Egamma or a competitor of the CMS Egamma POG and ECAL DPG groups. Rather, we see our group as a testing ground for algorithms developed in the Egamma POG group (different analyses may need different fiducial definitions and identification algorithms), and it is expected that people will work in both groups.
